We are pleased to announce our date for the 3rd Annual Fishers Marching Band Invitational (FMBI), September 13, 2014!
Fishers High School Reynolds Stadium is one of the newest high school stadiums in the state with over 3600 seats. Fishers High School is a state of the art facility that opened in 2006. Knowing that many of you may not have seen our facility, we want you to know that we received a great many positive comments from participants from the first two years as the synthetic Field Turf surface in great shape. We also just learned that our stadium is also undergoing some new additions that will be completed over the summer. We are adding approximately 600 seats to the home side of the stadium, making it one of the larger high school venues in our state, with an excellent vantage point for our judges and your followers.
The first two events have had great attendance with over 3300 people on our campus each year. We anticipate the 2014 Fishers Invitational will quickly grow to feature up to 20 bands from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and other surrounding states. The contest will feature the BOA Judging system, a world class judging panel, and an 8th evaluator/clinician who will provide immediate feedback to your program in a 12-minute clinic following your performance. These clinics have received high marks from past participants. Additionally we will offer a student leadership workshop for all attendee’s during the afternoon prior to the start of the competition.
We recognize this is an early season show and rehearsal time for all of the groups is at a premium. If you are traveling in for the show and need a facility to practice, please let us help you arrange that. Additionally, if you are local, this show will be an afternoon/evening show so you are able to have a rehearsal during the day and join us later for a run before an amazing judging panel.
